Jack Daniels

While looking through the pictures of our cats I found these pictures from the Jack Daniels Distillery. We live about 45 minutes from the distillery, which happens to be in a dry county (ironic right?). We have gone on the tour a couple of times, which is a walk through the entire process from water to whiskey. It's actually a really good tour (minus the lack of sampling). So, enough said, if nothing else was going to cause you to come visit us then this should be it. Who could pass up the opportunity to visit Jack Daniels?

It's Been a While

So there is nothing exciting to post about, except for global warming during the coldest winter in history, so I will just post random pictures of our cats. No I am not the crazy cat lady, we just do not have any kids yet and are obviously very boring people!

Christmas in Buffalo

Snow, snow, and more snow. Well its nice to visit but we sure miss the South. Here are some pictures of our snow-filled winter vacation.

Our car doesn't know what this crazy white-stuff is.

A shot down the street. The plow drivers are gainfully employed.

Anyone for a picnic? A great shot of the backyard.

It is amazing that we used to live here. Those Southerners would be freaking out if we had this much snow in BAMA. All the eggs, milk, and bread would be sold out for weeks!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Anniversary Trip

We were able to take a much needed and well deserved anniversary trip to the Smokey Mountains after leaving the Bama game. I think the above picture is enough to disprove the Big Bang Theory!!!! The one below is a view of the sunset from the porch at the bed and breakfast we stayed at. Doesn't D take great pictures!!!!
The third day we were there it snowed. It was amazing because the tops of the mountains got all covered in snow and the bottoms did not so you could still see the amazing colors of the fall leaves.
We did lots of hiking! It was a great time, so relaxing and enjoyable. Exactly what we were looking for.
It was a little bit cold... so I already made it clear that our next vacation will be to a warm weather location!!! I wish the trip never had to end!

Alabama vs Tennessee

The last weekend in October we went up to Knoxville for the Alabama v Tennessee football game. We met up with Yoko and John and had a great time! Bama won of course...

Derek is now an Alabama fan, much to the chagrin of some of our Auburn alum friends!

UB vs Mizzou

Last weekend we went to visit Sarah and Ithipon in St. Louis. We took the two hour drive to go see Missouri play the University of Buffalo. As you can see, we were the only blue in a sea of yellow and black. UB lost 21 to 42. Luckily we were sitting in a peaceful section and only got haggled one time. UB's performance was actually pretty impressive considering Missouri is ranked number 5 and UB is ranked, I don't know, number 75ish. It was lots of fun. Later that night we went to the casino and watched the boys lose money in poker. While I won $0.50 on the penny slots!! Thats a 10% return on my $5 that I was playing with!!! Maybe I'll take all my money out of my IRA and invest it in a casino...might work out better than leaving it in the bank!! We wanted to gamble away the condo, but we figured we would still have to pay the difference!

Okay, so I finally set up a blog, and finally posted some pics of the inside of our house. I am still learning and you will have to read the posts from the bottom to the top if you want them in order!
